Children take Ted and his best friend Lambie on a virtual trip to hospital. Along the way they find out what might happen and who they might meet, preparing them for visits to hospital themselves, as a patient or a visitor.

Developed in consultation with The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, ‘Ted goes to hospital’ includes a link to parent tips and discussion points. This book helps to reduce the anxiety children may feel around hospital experiences.  It is particularly helpful for children with existing medical and generalised anxieties and those who learn best through play and social stories. By sharing the book and activities with their children, parents and carers are also empowered to better support their children through a range of medical experiences.
